About the role:

As part of the Continence Care (CC) Advanced Operations function, which leads the charge in delivering new products and technologies to the business, you'll oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of key, complex operations projects, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

We're looking for a candidate with solid technical project management skills, techniques, and processes. You'll leverage your expertise, data, and experiences to evaluate solutions and provide recommendations.

Furthermore, you should demonstrate the ability to collaborate, form, and lead teams comprising cross-functional groups, ensuring alignment with common team objectives, goals, and milestones. It's crucial to work alongside other Project Managers, both internally across functions and externally.

Additionally, you must adeptly navigate internal processes and overcome barriers to effectively implement new materials or processes. Your role will involve managing multiple projects at various stages and levels of complexity, requiring the ability to prioritize according to business needs.

Your key responsibilities:

Create detailed work plans for assigned projects which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete each project. Determine the resources (time, money, capital equipment, etc.) required to complete the project and resolve resource conflicts. Develop schedules for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities. Review project schedules with senior management and project team members; revise schedules/plan as required. Determine the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated at completion. Develop forms and records to document project activities. Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured. Understands and ensures teams comply to Convatec’s Quality Systems. Monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards. Write reports on the project for management. Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.

About you:

Proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, database software, SAP, MS Outlook, A project management certification is desirable. Experience on working within a regulated industry (ideally medical device, Pharmaceutical but Aerospace, Nuclear, automotive etc. would also be considered). Experience of working in diverse cultures. Strong planning and organizational skills. Communication capabilities to all levels within the organization. Understand ethical behavior and business practices. Speak, listen, and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques. Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness. Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization. Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization. Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities. Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

Must be able to work with a range of technically and culturally diverse people, influencing them to achieve goals in a timely manner to help drive business results. Must demonstrate and apply analytical as well as strategic thinking skills, support teamwork, show exceptional judgment and decision-making, and can work independently.

Qualifications:

Certification in Project Management from a recognized certified body such as PMP, APMP/ APM PQ, APM RPP or CMI diploma in project management. A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) is desirable. Experience of delivering New Product Introductions within a manufacturing environment is desirable. BS or BA. Master or advanced degree is preferred.  Experience of project management in the medical device industry (or similar) with knowledge and experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain or research & development are essential.

Travel Requirements:

This role involves traveling 25% to 50% of the time to other company facilities, mainly in Slovakia, to oversee opportunities and ensure that projects are delivered on time.
