About this Position:
This role is for a Simulator Engineer within a Modelling & Simulation (M&S) discipline, supporting platform development across the full product lifecycle. The team develops Active Cockpit simulators and supporting utilities, working closely with engineers to prototype new avionics and cockpit designs. The role offers opportunities in advanced software development, system integration, trial preparation and analysis.

Job Responsibilities:



Develop and integrate software solutions.

Take ownership of requirements, design, implementation, system integration and testing.

*

Follow systems engineering practices and ensure adherence to schedules and estimates.

*

Produce technical documentation and design solutions that integrate COTS hardware and software.

*

Plan and estimate development activities while managing technical risk.

*

Support delivered systems and resolve issues in collaboration with customers.

*

Provide technical management of tasks, including line management and mentoring responsibilities.

*

Contribute to the refinement of development processes.

*

Develop system architectures to meet evolving IT and IT security requirements.

*

Identify and develop new work opportunities within Test & Evaluation.

Experience Required:

*

Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

*

Strong programming expertise in C/C++ with Visual Studio.

*

Project X domain knowledge, particularly cockpit Human Machine Interface (HMI).

*

Experience with configuration control tools, ideally Mercurial.

*

Ability to work independently in fluid environments, with strong initiative and creative thinking.

*

Eligible for security clearance
