ROLE: Quality Manager
LOCATION: Stevenage, Hertfordshire
SALARY: £50,000 - £60,000 dependant of experience

About the Role

An established and growing electronics manufacturing business in Stevenage is seeking a skilled and proactive Quality Manager to lead its quality assurance and compliance efforts. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronic products to a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defence, medical, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13845 and customer-specific standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations, manufacturing, and engineering teams.
Manage and lead audits – internal, customer, and third-party – ensuring readiness and compliance.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Oversee product and process quality through inspections, testing, and monitoring of KPIs.
Manage and develop quality staff, providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and maintain high satisfaction.
Prepare and present quality reports, metrics, and performance reviews to senior management.Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer within an EMS or precision electronics manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13845 and related quality standards.
Experience in managing audits and working with aerospace or high-reliability industry clients.
Practical understanding of quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proficiency with QMS software and Microsoft Office suite
