Alecto Recruitment is partnering with a growing company within the Odour and emissions control sector who work closely with the Anaerobic Digestion and Waste sectors and is looking to take on a Process Engineer.

Role and Responsibilities:

You'll be hands-on, at the core of innovation, helping us break into new markets and solve real-world challenges. Day to day, you'll:
Design, optimise, and implement solutions for clients across the waste and biogas sector.
Interpret tenders, align them with our client's standard kit, and identify opportunities for smarter solutions.
Support sales teams with process design, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
Lead R&D initiatives-from developing new products to testing prototypes and conducting trials.
Carry out feasibility studies and data analysis that drive continuous improvement.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across project teams.
Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Ensure projects meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and environmental responsibility.

Skills and Qualifications:

A degree in Chemical, Process, Environmental Engineering or related field.

Proven experience in process engineering, ideally in utilities, environmental, or energy sectors.
Hands-on experience with prototyping and trial development (yes, using hand tools too).
A strong background-or clear passion-for R&D, innovation, and new technology.
Experience with anaerobic digestion (AD), wastewater treatment, or related processes (a big plus).
Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
We have CAD engineers, but some CAD modifications would be useful if the applicant has experience
