Principal Systems Engineer – Future Combat Air - 1654

Location: Luton, UK (Capability Green)

Contract Length: 12 Months

Rate: £84.63 UMBRELLA

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: 80–100% onsite (4–5 days per week)

Clearance Required: SC Clearance eligible and Sole UK Nationality required

My client has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting the development of advanced aerospace systems as part of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).

This role will focus on supporting the development of system requirements, including design and interface definition activities to assist engineering teams with design and integration activities.

The successful candidate may also support activities across integration, qualification, verification, and validation at later stages of the programme.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development of system requirements.

Assist with design and interface definition activities.

Support engineering teams with design and integration activities.

Contribute to modelling and analysis activities using Matlab and Cameo.

Work within an agile engineering environment.

Support activities across the full engineering lifecycle.

Required Experience

Experience within Systems Engineering in an aerospace or defence environment.

Knowledge of system requirements development and interface definition.

Experience using Matlab and Cameo.

Understanding of the full engineering lifecycle.

Experience working within agile environments.

Eligible for SC Clearance.

Please note this role requires 4–5 days per week onsite in Luton.

This is an opportunity to work alongside subject matter experts across advanced aerospace and electronic warfare technologies on one of the UK’s flagship future combat air programmes
