gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Paint Sprayer (Aerospace) to work at their facility based near Darwen
Performance Objectives

Prepare surfaces of aerospace components by cleaning, masking, and sanding to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Mix and apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray guns and other application equipment according to technical specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain and operate paint spray equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and properly calibrated.
Inspect painted surfaces for defects, such as runs, sags, or unpainted areas, and perform touch-ups as necessary.
Work with quality control to ensure finished products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ventilation systems.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, properly disposing of hazardous materials according to regulations.
Keep accurate records of materials used, processes followed and completed work.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.Person Specification

2+ years of experience in industrial painting, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry.
Strong understanding of various coatings, including primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes used in aerospace applications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Proficiency with paint spray guns, mixing equipment, and other tools used in the painting process.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to paint application and hazardous materials.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality finishes.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Physical ability to stand for long periods, wear a respirator, and work in a paint booth environment.Apply
