A pioneering engineering company is building technology to unlock the last great frontier on Earth. An expanse 1.5 times the size of the US, the Arctic is becoming the epicenter of geopolitical tensions, climatic shifts, and economic opportunity. This team cuts through that complexity — while preserving the integrity of the planet’s most fragile wilderness.

Founded by experts with over 30 years of polar experience, the organisation knows that autonomous systems are the key to operational success. Operating at the very edge of technological capabilities, it takes big bets on hard problems.

If you want to design and deploy ground-up technology with real-world impact — at an inflection point in history that won’t reappear — this is where you belong.

The Role

We’re looking for Mechanical Engineers to own the design, build, and deployment of cold-hardened hardware — from field-ready energy systems to autonomous surface and sub-surface platforms. You’ll work from first principles to engineer real-world solutions that operate where failure isn’t an option. You’ll lead end-to-end design, push hardware and material limits, and take your work into the field — from the workshop to the Arctic.

Core Responsibilites

  • End-to-end hardware design and delivery for Arctic-ready products.

  • Cold-chamber and non-destructive testing (NDE) to validate performance.

  • Material selection and reliability engineering under thermal and mechanical stress.

  • Physics-first approach to all design decisions.

  • Cross-disciplinary integration with electrical, software, GIS, and RF teams.

  • Quality assurance leadership to ensure bulletproof performance.

  • Field deployment: Travel to Arctic regions for R&D and industry meetings.

    Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years CAD experience (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).

  • Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering degree with portfolio of hardware projects.

  • Proficiency with simulation tools (ANSYS or equivalent) for stress and thermal modelling.

  • Hands-on experience in materials testing and NDE.

  • Strong communicator — can explain complex engineering decisions clearly.

  • Willingness to work in cold conditions during prototype field tests.

    What They Offer

  • Stock options and competitive pay.

  • Mission-driven culture — emphasis on impact rather than hours worked.

  • Field exposure — real Arctic deployment opportunities
