Manufacturing Senior NPI Engineer

Filtronic is an award-winning company, designing and manufacturing world-leading RF, microwave and millimetre-wave (mmWave) solutions that enable mission-critical applications principally across the space and defence sectors.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for aSeniorNPI Engineer to play a key role in introducing innovative RF and microwave products into manufacturing. Working at the interface between engineering and production, you'll help ensure new products transition smoothly from concept and prototype through to stable, high-quality, repeatable manufacture.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll support the introduction of new RF and microwave products into manufacturing, helping ensure they are robust, scalable and capable of meeting demanding performance requirements.

Working closely with the Lead NPI Engineer, RF Design, Mechanical Engineering, Test, Quality and Manufacturing teams, you'll:

• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through to production release.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes for new products.
• Contribute to Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) activities.
• Analyse RF test data to improve product performance, manufacturing yield and process capability.
• Investigate manufacturing and RF performance issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
• Support production ramp-up and continuous improvement activities.
• Design and implement manufacturing tooling and fixtures where required.
• Produce clear technical documentation, manufacturing procedures and engineering reports.
