Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting for an Industrial Jet Washer to join our Environmental Services division based in Honiton. This is a physically active and varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working in different environments and being hands-on.

You'll be supporting a wide range of industries - from cement works and oil refineries to sewage treatment plants and even Royal Navy vessels. One day might involve general site cleaning, while the next could include confined space operations using full breathing apparatus.

Key Responsibilities

Perform industrial cleaning and site maintenance tasks to a high standard.
Support shutdown operations, pollution control and spill response.
Use high-pressure water jetting and hydro-cutting equipment (training provided).
Work in confined spaces (e.g. tanks, sewers) - may require breathing apparatus.
Drive company vehicles (van and trailer) - Cat B+E license preferred.
Maintain good communication with clients and adhere to safety protocols.
Complete all work records, timesheets, and documentation accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of company vehicles.
Ensure all work is carried out in line with company Health & Safety policies.Essential Requirements

Full UK driving licence.
Must be able to drive both a van and a Jetvac vehicle; therefore, a valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence is mandatory.
Willing and able to work in confined spaces and at height.
Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to customer sites.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physically fit and medically able to carry out confined space work.
Able to meet required security vetting for sensitive sites (e.g. MOD).
Confined Space Certification (C&G 6150-03 / 6150-05).
Water Jetting Association certification.
CSCS card, CCNSG or other safety passport.
Emergency First Aid.
Asbestos Awareness.
Spill Response / Environmental Awareness.
PASMA, IPAF, UK PIA Safety Passport.
National Water Hygiene Card.
Offshore qualifications (OPITO, BOSIET, MIST).Salary & Benefits

£14.76 per hour (£29,000 annual salary once permanent).
