Electronics Technician / Engineering Trainer (Full Training Provided)

Witham, Essex

£40,000 + Full Training Provided + Industry Certifications + Pension + Death in Service + UK Travel + Long-Term Career Development

Are you an Electronics Technician, Test Technician, Production Technician or Electronics Engineer looking for a new challenge away from day-to-day manufacturing?

Do you want to pass on your knowledge, develop new skills, and build a rewarding career training engineers and technicians across some of the UK's most innovative industries?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering training provider that works with businesses across aerospace, defence, aviation, medical devices, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor technology and consumer products. Their training helps organisations develop highly skilled workforces, maintain industry standards and support continued growth within the electronics sector.

With a purpose-built training facility in Witham, the organisation delivers internationally recognised electronics manufacturing certifications alongside practical technical training courses. Due to continued growth and increasing demand from industry, they are looking to expand their established training team with the addition of a new Electronics Trainer.

In this role, you will deliver a mixture of practical and classroom-based training covering electronics manufacturing processes, PCB assembly, soldering techniques, cable and wire harnessing, inspection methods and associated engineering practices. Full training will be provided, including professional trainer development and industry-recognised certifications, meaning no previous teaching or training experience is required.

This role would suit someone with a hands-on electronics background who wants a career change whilst remaining within an industry they know and enjoy. Whether you've worked as an Electronics Technician, Production Technician, Test Technician, Manufacturing Technician or Electronics Engineer, this position offers the opportunity to use your experience in a completely different way by helping others develop their own careers and technical capabilities.

One of the most attractive aspects of this opportunity is the variety. Rather than working on the same products, systems or manufacturing environment every day, you'll gain exposure to a huge range of industries, technologies and applications. One week you could be training engineers from an aerospace organisation, the next supporting technicians from a medical device manufacturer or advanced electronics business. You'll build long-term relationships with customers, help organisations improve their capabilities, and play a direct role in supporting the future growth of UK engineering and manufacturing.

The Role *Deliver electronics manufacturing certification and technical training courses
*Teach practical electronics manufacturing techniques including PCB assembly and soldering
*Deliver a mixture of classroom and hands-on workshop-based training
*Support engineers, technicians, inspectors and manufacturing personnel
*Receive full trainer development and industry certification training
*Deliver training from the Witham facility and occasionally at customer sites
*Work with customers across aerospace, defence, medical, semiconductor and manufacturing sectors
*Occasional UK travel and overnight stays, typically planned well in advance
The Person *Electronics Technician, Electronics Engineer, Test Technician, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician or similar background
*Hands-on electronics industry experience
*Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, soldering, cable harnessing or related processes
*Looking to move into training, teaching or technical instruction
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Passion for sharing knowledge and developing others
*Full training provided - no previous training or teaching experience required
*Willing to undertake occasional UK travel and overnight stays,

Where to Advertise Space Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise space jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, agency channels and community routes that reach satellite, propulsion and launch talent. The candidate pool spans satellite engineers, propulsion specialists, mission analysts, ground segment software developers, space systems architects and commercial space professionals — a highly specific multidisciplinary community that general job boards are poorly equipped to reach. The strongest space candidates are often embedded in ESA programmes, academic research groups, UK Space Agency-funded projects or established primes, and move between roles through sector-specific networks, industry bodies and conference communities rather than mainstream platforms. This guide, published by UKSpaceJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise space industry roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
