Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Crewkerne
Hours: 39 hours/week (Monday to Friday, with half-day Friday)
Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience and qualifications
Bonus: Quarterly bonus + performance-related schemes

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established and reputable manufacturing business based in Crewkerne. 
This hands-on role supports the maintenance team in ensuring the efficient running of all plant machinery and equipment. You’ll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, contributing to the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across a variety of production machinery
Perform fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs, and installations
Conduct routine inspections, calibration, and preventative maintenance
Maintain accurate records of repairs and servicing
Support continuous improvement and production uptime
Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
Provide support and advice to production teams on machinery issues

Experience & Skills

Essential:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance engineering role
Strong fault-finding skills in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Dual-skilled in mechanical and electrical maintenance (preferred)
Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated systems
Understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance techniques
Desirable:

Experience in heavy industry, foundry, plastics, aerospace, or similar sectors
Background in maintaining a wide range of machinery and systems

Qualifications

Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3+, 18th Edition, City & Guilds)
GCSEs (Grade C or above in Maths & English or equivalent)
HNC/HND in Engineering or Manufacturing (advantageous)
