CNC / Estimator

Location: Near Camberley, Surrey

Salary: £30,000 to £50,000

Do you have a background within CNC Milling and / or CNC Turning and have some exposure within estimating or job costing or if this is an area that could be of interest. I am looking to recruit an estimator but need someone with a precision engineering background.

Our client is a growing Aerospace Precision Manufacturing / Engineering company based near Camberley and are looking to recruit an experienced Estimator. As their Estimator Engineer / Estimator you would report to the Sales Director.

This exciting role is 100% inhouse so the successful candidate will need to live a commutable distance from Camberley, Yateley, Reading, Basingstoke, Woking, Aldershot, Guildford, and surrounding areas. Salary is from £30,000 to £50,000 dependent on experience plus excellent benefits.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Apprentice trained and Experience within CNC Milling / Turning, setting, and operating and ideally some programming.

  • Knowledge of the Aerospace sub-contracting industry / approvals / contracts

  • Exceptional communication & negotiation skills, written, verbal and formal presentation skills.

  • Highly organised – deliver to deadlines.

  • Able to influence with the ability to drive ideas forward.

  • Sound commercial skills with the ability to understand detailed costing’s, estimates etc.

  • IT & Computer literate.

  • Flexibility to travel as the demands of the role require.

  • Experienced and proven account management record.

  • Able to build, influence and maintain good working relationships at all levels.

  • Determined with a will to succeed, tenacious.

  • Polished and professional.

  • Numerate.
