The Role

As Chief Technical Specialist, you’ll provide expert technical leadership in the design and development of advanced power conversion systems, including traction inverters, DC-DC converters, and onboard chargers. You’ll guide projects from concept through to production, ensuring world-class performance, reliability, and compliance.

Beyond technical delivery, you’ll play a key role in shaping technology roadmaps, supporting business development, and representing the organisation at industry forums and conferences as a recognised authority in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of power electronics solutions.

  • Define technology strategies and roadmaps in electrification.

  • Support proposals and customer engagement with deep technical expertise.

  • Mentor engineers and champion best practices in design, validation, and EMC compliance.

  • Build strong external visibility as a thought leader in power electronics.

    About You

  • Globally recognised expertise in power electronics and magnetics across multiple sectors (automotive, aerospace, defence, clean energy, etc.).

  • Proven track record in high-voltage, high-power design, including SiC, IGBT, GaN devices, gate drivers, and protection schemes.

  • Strong experience in digital/mixed-signal control, EMC design, and compliance standards.

  • Excellent customer-facing and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders.

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.

    Desirable

  • Knowledge of electric motor technologies and digital control.

  • Experience with high-voltage test facilities and thermal/EMC simulation tools.

  • Track record of leading major multi-disciplinary development projects.
