Our client a multi-award-winning, independent provider of component repair and technical services for airlines and the global aviation community is recruiting for an Approved Avionics Technician to be based at Stansted Airport.
On Offer:

  • Salary of £26k-£34k depending on experience.

    Main Purpose of the Approved Avionics Technician role:
    To carry out repairs on avionic components to the required technical and regulatory standards in a timely and efficient manner. The role includes responsibility for signing off one’s own work and planning daily tasks to achieve the best commercial outcomes while ensuring high-quality service and compliance.
    Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairs on avionic components in accordance with technical documentation and company procedures.
  • Accurately update the company maintenance tracking system throughout the repair process to reflect progress, identify delays, and ensure accurate delivery forecasting.
  • Aim to meet or exceed agreed delivery dates for all repairs.
  • Review and maintain capability files and software records for components being serviced, especially during non-productive time.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings by providing constructive feedback and suggesting process improvements.
  • Report to and liaise with the Avionics Inspector / Team Leader.
  • Collaborate with the Avionics team to resolve issues and progress challenging repair tasks.
  • Maintain high service levels and ensure on-time delivery for all customer requirements.
  • Effectively manage and utilise available test equipment to maximise output.
  • Liaise with the Commercial Team when required to support technical and delivery matters.
    To Be Considered:
  • Previous experience in avionics engineering or component-level repair.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in repair and documentation.
  • Effective communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise work, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility with working hours, when required to meet operational needs.
  • Confident working both independently and within a team.
  • Awareness of the commercial impact of your role and a focus on cost-effective repairs.
