Job Title: Avionics Systems Consultant
Location: On-site Warton (UK-based project)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract or Permanent
Pay: £85,000 to £100,000

Job Overview:

A unique opportunity to join a world-renowned engineering organisation working at the forefront of military aerospace innovation. This role focuses on the design, integration, and development of advanced avionics systems for next-generation fighter aircraft, a critical position within a high-impact defence programme.

Ideal for a systems engineer with hands-on experience in flight avionics, radar technologies, mission computers, and a strong understanding of full lifecycle development (V-model).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and integration of advanced avionics systems
  • Define, trace, and manage system requirements using DOORS
  • Support the design and validation of radar, IFF, and mission-critical systems
  • Use engineering tools such as Statemate, PCMS, and ICT
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a high-security, high-performance environment
  • Apply full V-model lifecycle understanding in a defence setting

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Avionics or Defence Systems engineering
  • Proficiency with: DOORS, Statemate, PCMS, ICT Tool.
  • Strong understanding of avionics
  • Experience working with radar, IFF, or mission computer equipment

Additional Info:

  • Must be eligible for security clearance and able to work on-site full time
  • Hybrid working may be possible depending on project needs, but full remote is not available
