Macildowie are working with a leading client based inBirmingham to recruitAccount Managers for an established organisation within the B2B and sustainability space.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships while driving commercial growth. Rather than focusing on winning new business, you'll manage an existing portfolio of SME customers, helping them maximise the value of the products and services available to them through proactive account management and commercial conversations.
The Role
You'll take ownership of an established portfolio of SME customers, acting as their trusted commercial partner. Your focus will be on identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling, securing contract renewals, and ensuring customers continue to receive exceptional service.
Working within a high-performing inside sales environment, you'll be supported with regular coaching and development while building lasting customer relationships that deliver long-term commercial success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing SME customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and cross-selling
- Proactively manage contract renewals and customer retention
- Develop account growth plans to maximise customer lifetime value
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using Salesforce
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience
- Deliver value-led commercial conversations that strengthen long-term partnerships.
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, relationship-focused and passionate about helping customers succeed.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in B2B Account Management, Customer Success or Internal Sales
- A proven track record of growing existing customer accounts
- Experience identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- Strong organisational and pipeline management abilities
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system
- A proactive and consultative approach to customer management.
