Titan are currently working with a very successful manufacturing company based in Dumbarton who are looking for a Welder to join their teamThe purpose of the role is to satisfy welding and fabrication requirements to engineering drawings within the workshop by employing efficient and effective working practices. Ensure Safety and Quality standards are maintained and job specifications comply with company and client requirements.Role responsibilities - Weld TIG, MAG, processes with gas / oxygen propane heating requirementsTIG welding to Penetrant Testing (PT) and Radiographic Testing (RT) standardsWeld MMAWelding/fabrication, marking off, plasma burningPipe welding and fit-upOrbitalum pipe preparationMark off and drilling operationsCrane operation and lifting and singing of materialsOperate de-burring equipmentLoad and move materials to work area using approved safe methodsRead and interpret engineering data and drawingsMaintain high standard of house keeping and operate safely in line with company Health & Safety policy and risk assessmentsMaintain machinery and parts to ensure equipment remains in optical operating conditionRegularly clean and inspect tools and equipment for reliability and usabilityWork as part of a team rotating between Dayshift and Nightshift as requiredSupport the wider team and departments in terms of ad-hoc tasks and projectsHandle customer information in line with data protection complianceRequirements - Recognised Welding/Fabrication apprenticeshipOperational knowledge of welding & fabrication equipmentAn ability to read and interpret Engineering data and drawings is essentialSufficient and appropriate experience in a manufacturing environment is requiredPreferential TIG welding experiencePrevious experience within a similar environment is essential The company offers a great working environment, working Monday to Friday (early finish on a Friday!)
