WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE -- PERMANENT.

Job description
Warehouse operative – Coleshill.

We are recruiting a reliable, hard-working warehouse operatives for our aerospace customer in Coleshill, Birmingham, B46.
This is a permanent position via Rapier Employment. This company is a market-leading adhesive, sealant and lubricant distributor.

The Role.
Working in a modern, clean and well-lit environment, you will be mainly be responsible for working in the goods in department. and you will also be trained up to work in the other departments also.

You will be expected to lift items of various weights up to 10kg.  Using a order-picking scanning gun, you will need to have a good level of numeracy and literacy as you will be expected to locate various items using a numbered system.

If you have an Bendi licence, then this would be an advantage however, the majority of the work will be manual.

Hours of work:

Monday-Friday.
08:30-17:30 (11:30 finish every other Friday).
2x 15 minute break.
1x 30 minute lunch break .
37.5 hours paid.
Pay rate:
£12.21 per hour.
This would increase with the more skills you pick up.
After you have completed your probation, you will also be enrolled into the companies bonus scheme too.
During busy periods, OT is available on Friday afternoons and occasionally on Saturdays.

Duties:
The first area where you will be trained up in will be the Good's In department, your duties will include:

Receiving inbound shipments.
Checking batch codes, to make sure the incoming stock is correct.
Logging the stock into the warehouse management system ready to be put away.
In-between deliveries you will be doing order picking/packing as well as other general warehouse duties.Once you can work comfortably within the goods in department, you will be given further training in other areas of the warehouse too including:

Inventory/stock control
Dispatch
Loading/Unloading
MHE training
Requirements:

Minimum 12 months experience in the Good's In/inbound Warehouse department.
Minimum 2yrs warehouse experience.
Previous experience in data entry.
Excellent attention to detail.
A strong stable work history.
Physically fit.
A flexible and helpful attitude.
Looking to grow within the company.
Willing to learn and take on extra responsibilities.
Bendi licence (Desired but not essential)
You must be able to travel to the Coleshill area for 08:30 am, Monday to Friday.
Right to work in the UK.
