The below job description will outline this position of: Voyage Manager

Typically, this person will be primary point of contact for charterers, representing the company daily while upholding its core values. In this role, you will support Gas Operations, manage vessel performance, ensure environmental compliance across the fleet, and play a key part in maintaining the company's strong brand reputation.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To be the main point of contact for the ship on all matters that relate to voyage operations.
  • Checking in with senior management to ensure they each understand the importance & financial impact of voyage performance.
  • Key Liaisons with Shipping & Port Agents, HSEQ, Technical, Chartering and Operations departments - to ensure safe and efficient transportation
  • Performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis for the vessels.
  • Calculate and monitor the performance warranty to help with negotiations to close out any claims.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of software used in submitted consumptions and emissions.
  • Support in overseeing vessel charter party agreements, planning, ironing out operational issues and ensuring schedules are met.
  • Support in all compliance matters; including vessel documentation, invoicing, and claims procedures.

Ideal candidate specification:

  • Appropriate sea service within LNG as a Deck Officer (i.e., Chief / 2nd officer OOW COC)
  • Have a good broad commercial and operational knowledge and understanding.
  • Quality and customer focused individual.
  • Analytical, problem solving, time management and decision-making skills.
  • Good attention to detail and an excellent communicator.
  • Demonstratable teamwork and interpersonal skills.
