Join a world-renowned aerospace and defence organisation as a Senior Piping Designer in Glasgow (2 days a week onsite the rest from home)

Would you like to join a global aerospace and defence organisation? Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Senior Piping Designer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow on an initial 12 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £40.64 per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella rate
The role:
 Using the CAD toolset to produce 3D models of Piping layouts
 Operating as a senior designer within a team of up to 25 resources, the position holder will have high design technical capability and demonstrate exemplar behaviours as a role model within the team
 Progress complex design activities through to completion using design tools (eg CAD) and advise and coach team members and early careers through their activities, and where applicable support colleagues through mentoring.
You:
 Knowledge and understanding of Piping 2D and 3D level
 Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component / assembly level4
 Understanding of CAD toolset Foran
 Must have shipbuilding experience
