The Company & Situation

A global leader of turnkey solutions in the Rail & Rolling Stock industry are looking to expand their Engineering & Cyber Security Team

The Engineering team require an Rail System Cyber Engineer  to deliver their expertise on the delivery of new and existing projects. You will be involved in the design and delivery of secure onboard systems that will ultimately enable the trains to continue operating and be as secure to external threats as possible.

The Role

The Rolling Stock Cyber Security Engineer would ultimately be supporting the protection of the onboard systems and communication networks, ensuring that security and threat mitigation has been considered throughout every step of the design process and project lifecycle

The Cyber Engineer would be heavily involved with Supplier Management, Selection and Evaluation. This will involve vetting them & ensuring they adhere to all standards. You will also ensure to have a thorough understanding of each project requirements in order to conduct risk assessments through the project to identify potential threats. Your expertise will be utilised to identify further weaknesses by completing vulnerability assessments and pen tests.

The Cyber Engineer will also work closely with the client and be involved with writing Risk Reports.

Essential Criteria

Worked in an Operational industry (Defence, Rail, Automotive, Aerospace, Maritime etc)
Strong communication skills
Testing, Design or Systems Engineering experience
Interest in or some exposure to OT Cyber Security
Location

Hybrid working, c.2 days per week out of your closest office:
