The role
As a Third Line Support Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be key in the undertaking of fault investigations and performing upgrades and enhancements. You will also support an On-call rota for out of hours support.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide third line support to the network, undertaking fault investigations and performing upgrades and enhancements as well as:
Responding to customer faults and network incidents Managing the installation and configuration of new system elements Testing and commissioning new equipment and services Ensuring new services and systems meet UK security requirements Managing obsolescence within the existing system to ensure the system remains supportable and compliant to security requirements Providing third line support to operations teams This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites within the UK and overseas, as a requirement of the role.
This role is full time, 37-hours per week and is based on site in Corsham.
Essential experience of the Third Line Support Engineer
Experience in the design and delivery of internet protocol (IP) communication networks, ideally with Cisco accreditation Worked at a telecoms or satellite communication company
Qualifications for the Third Line Support Engineer
Degree or equivalent in a relevant Engineering Discipline
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
