Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Role Purpose

Covering the Thames Valley area for Thames Water, this role's purpose is to modify control panels and telemetry equipment at various sites across the region. This includes telemetry outstation replacements and multi-smart systems.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday. Paid hourly, with overtime paid. Travel time paid door to door.

Overtime during the weekends paid at inflated rate.

  • Company van provided
  • To be responsible for completing electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.
  • Ensure that all Health and Safety legislation and regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure that all items are installed to the highest standards, in compliance with the project’s quality plan and inspection and test plans.
  • To follow and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and to be empowered to stop work should unsafe circumstances arise.
  • Promote and demonstrate the Bridges’ values when dealing with peers, staff, customers and clients.
  • To coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.

Requirements

  • ECS Gold Card (essential)
  • Telemetry outstation replacements or MultiSmart systems experience
  • Panel wiring / modifications experience
  • Experience within Industrial (ideally the water) industries
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Always follows best practice with a positive attitude towards Health and Safety
  • Full UK driving License
  • Fit for work medical.

Desirable

  • PASMA / IPAF / Confined space
  • EUSR & Thames Water Passport
  • Inspection and testing certificate
  • Emergency first aid or first aider
  • CCNSG (or similar)
  • CompEx.
