Therole
The Weapons area primarilysupports the design, development, production, and integrationactivities associated with Weapon Systems. As a result of newcontracts, the engineering team are looking for motivatedTechnicians. As an Engineering Technician within Raytheon, you willwork a team of engineers generally operating in a workshop /laboratory environment.
MainDuties
This position offers a great dealof variety with on-job training provided.
Theroles responsibilities will include thefollowing:
- Adhere to Company Healthand Safety Policies and legislation.
- Mechanicalassembly, modification, and repair ofhardware
- Regular checking of tools andmachinery.
- Mechanical and Electricaltesting.
- Completion of forms and maintenancerecords.
- Understand quality requirements andproactively report issues/observations.
- Therole will also offer the opportunity to work occasionally away fromthe main facility in Harlow.
CandidateSkills
Essential
- Previousexperience of working in electrical and mechanical technicianrole.
- Able to follow strict companyEnvironmental Health and Safetyprocedures.
- Proficient in using tools forrepair and manufacture of equipment.
- Ability towork accurately and to deadlines
- Good hand-eyecoordination
- Basic computer literacy includingMicrosoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word,Excel).
Desirable
- Knowledgeof electronic and mechanical systems
- Previousexperience in an Aerospace or Defence workingenvironment.
