Mechanical Technical Design Engineer - Leicester - Aerospace - £45k

Technical Support Engineer required by a leading provider of Satellite Communications. Our client have a global presence including offices in 10 countries and have 250 staff globally. Our client are debt free, in a financially strong position and continue to grow their operations further. There is an excellent opportunity to learn more about satellite constellations such as Starlink by Space X from Elon Musk and Kuiper by Amazon!

This role will involve supporting customers over the phone and face to face and helping to resolve their IT/Technical/NOC/Satellite issues. Good problem solving skills are required for this role.

The successful candidate will have the following essential skills and experience:

  • Network Operations or NOC experience gained within a MSP / Satellite / Telecoms / MOD

  • Customer service or customer support skills and experience - demonstrated in previous roles.

  • Professional qualifications such as Cisco CCNA or Juniper JNCIA are highly desirable.

  • Must be willing to work on a shift pattern of 4 on and 4 off including covering days and/or nights with hours from 8-8. Must be flexible to work days and nights.
