The Opportunity
As a process engineering technical Lead you will support turnkey contracts related to the design, manufacturing, qualification, installation, and commissioning of diesel generator contracts for a major nuclear power project. In this role, you will work closely with the Contract Engineering Lead (CEL) and key stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project.

Location:
Bristol area (hybrid and other locations considered)

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Assist in resolving technical issues related to design, manufacturing, and qualification.
Oversee design documentation to ensure compliance with specifications.
Track design risks and support the preparation and assessment of early warnings and variations.
Respond to supplier requests such as Requests for Information (RFIs), Interface Queries (IQs), and Exemption Requests (ERs).
Manage interfaces between contractor-supplied equipment and other project systems.
Support the development of action plans and contribute to governance meetings.
Assist in configuration management, including Contract Transfer Sheets (CTSs), Design Modifications (UKDCs), and Referential Evolution Requests (RERs).You will have the following qualifications and experience 
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, etc.).
Knowledge of equipment such as instrumentation, filters, piping, rotating equipment (pumps, compressors), heat exchangers, and pressure equipment.
Experience with diesel generators (desirable but not mandatory) and knowledge of electrical and/or fluid systems.
Some project management or project engineering experience (a recognised accreditation is beneficial but not essential).
Experience in nuclear or other highly regulated industries (aerospace, oil & gas, energy, public sector works).
Understanding of UK regulatory requirements (CDM, COSHH, IRR, Environmental Permitting, etc.).
Familiarity with British/ISO standards and other design codesThe setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
