Hourly Rate: £30p/h

Job Summary:
My client is seeking skilled engineers to join a team working on a maintenance manual module cause comparison project for a military gas turbine. The team will be working on behalf of an aero engine OEM, completing engine maintenance manual comparison tasks. The objective is to create a robust operating model, eventually achieving a run rate of 40 DMs (Data Modules) per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake engine maintenance manual comparison tasks, including analysis of the engine Common Source Database (CSDB) against the current Engine Repair Manual.

  • Create change requests for each target engine repair manual data module.

  • Analyse Common Source Database modules and the target engine repair manual.

  • Assess Data Modules identified in the “From - To Exchange” data provided.

  • Compare content of 560 Data Modules in the Common Source Database (from exchanges 790 to 925) with the content in Issue 16 of the Engine Repair Manual.

  • Identify and record the nature and detail of all changes.

  • Review the correlation between the data and populate a spreadsheet with proposed changes to the target Data Module.

    Required Skills (Technical Competencies):

  • Skilled Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul Engineers.

  • Experience in working with military or aerospace engine systems is highly desirable.

  • Strong attention to detail and precision in data analysis.

    Required Skills (Behavioural Competencies):

  • Excellent personal organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work methodically.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training and orientation.

  • Good communication in English, both oral and written.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

  • Customer-focused with the ability to build and maintain relationships with both customers and suppliers.

  • Ability to represent the team in customer meetings at senior levels and progress resulting actions.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with logical thinking.

  • Effective time management skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Additional Information:
    This is a contract position based in Derby for a 12-month duration, working outside of IR35.
