As a Technical Author, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of engineering documentation, contributing to projects that make a real-world impact.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation within the engineering team, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Provide document time estimations for effective scheduling and budgeting.
  • Conduct research, including reading source material and engaging with team members, to gather necessary information.
  • Write, review, and edit documentation adhering to department standards and procedures.
  • Create and coordinate illustrations, working with graphic designers when necessary.
  • Offer periodic status reports to the Engineering Lead, ensuring smooth progress on documentation projects.

What You Will Bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical documentation, particularly in maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field; or a technical secondary education with significant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in CAD software such as SolidWorks being advantageous.
  • Excellent command of technical English, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • A detail-oriented approach, capable of multi-tasking and working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
