Summary of Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a number of Modelling Engineers to work within the Raytheon Assured Position Navigation and Timing (APNT) Engineering team assisting in the delivery of complex and high-profile programmes.
As a result of new contracts, the modelling team is rapidly growing and therefore we are looking for motivated Modelling Engineers with a background in system development, certification and qualification with a keen interest in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and/or Navigation systems.
The role will involve working in a highly technical environment, supporting the team as well as working autonomously, laboratory work will be involved for product testing.
Taking on complex challenges and producing a solution that follows company process in a timely manner is an essential part of the role. A successful candidate will be comfortable integrating into a large team to accomplish their goals.
Main Duties:
Modelling, Simulation and Assessment of Navigation systems, particularly during the conceptual to prototyping phases. Supporting a model-based design approach to APNT system conceptual modelling and prototype development. Support the design development of complex systems, System-on-Chip in particular. Support model validation activities.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Demonstrable experience with MathWorks toolsets such as MATLAB and Simulink. Keen analytical approach to solving complex problems. Well-developed understanding of modelling techniques and validation to the real world. FPGA or Embedded Software Design experience. Eligible or holder of current SC security clearance.
Desirable:
Bachelors' Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics or related subject. 2+ years of relevant experience in modelling activities. Experience of Agile development methodologies and work package management tools. Domain knowledge and/or experience in Navigation, Wireless Communications or a similar field.
