Summary / Role Purpose

The purpose of the Microsoft 365 System Engineer role is to act as a technical subject matter expert and provide support for Microsoft 365 Services for Ansys as a member of the End User Computing Application team. The role will have proven experience in operational support and understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite of services and architecture.

The role is required to provide coverage for the US East Coast time zone and the expected working pattern would be 12:00 – class="MsoNoSpacing">  

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Possess detailed technical understanding of the full Microsoft 365 suite of products, including:

Office 365 SharePoint & OneDrive Microsoft 365 Groups & Microsoft Teams PowerApps and Flow

Participate in the resolution of Microsoft 365 related incidents, requests, and changes, ensuring a high standard of execution and ownership

Work closely with employees and Operations teams to undertake investigations and diagnose performance and service-related issues, ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed Act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft 365 support processes and work to build understanding of these processes throughout the Operations team Provide education and training to the Ansys user base on the best utilization of the Microsoft 365 set of services Follow standard Microsoft 365 administration processes and guidelines with a high degree of quality and reliability Recommend and implement improvements to processes and guidelines through collaboration with the entire End User Computing team, especially using automation where appropriate Possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement and a very high level of customer service Capable of influencing senior level stakeholders and project teams

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related Engineering disciplines

Associate Member of relevant professional body (, IET, IISP)

Experience with the following technologies

Desktop Operating Systems, such as Windows 7/8/10 and Mac OS Server Operating Systems, such as Windows Server and Linux Cloud hosting solutions, such as Microsoft Azure PowerShell scripting

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

An Honors degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

Full Member of relevant professional body (, IET, IISP)

Four or more years of experience in IT and in a Microsoft 365 environment preferred

Experience with the following technologies

Internal and external DNS

Administration of EntraID Enterprise Applications

Networking technologies

ServiceNow

Azure Dev Ops (formerly known as Team Foundation Server)

Postfix mail server

Microsoft certifications such as MS900
