Our client has an opportunity for a Laser Directed Energy Weapon Systems Engineer to join them on an initial 6-month contract.
As a LDEW System Engineer you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to developing advanced defence systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and integration of advanced LDEW systems, ensuring flawless performance and reliability.

Role: Systems Engineer
Location: Bristol. 2 days onsite
Hours: 37 per week
Clearance: BPSS to start. UK Eyes Only due to project
Hourly Rate: £70ph via Umbrella, inside IR35

What you'll be doing:

Delivery of TRS / Verification / Certification documentation throughout the project life cycle
Support to the delivery of project material for design reviews
Conduct and delivery of system trade studies analysis and reportsRequirements:

System Design Engineering
Initiate/undertake and drive trade studies and system development activities
Experience of developing complex systems (ideally in defence)
Ability to communicate architectures and ideas at all levels
Understood elaboration of user requirements with the design authorities in response to their needs and constraints
Support functional design with requirement flow down through system/sub-system/equipment
Ability to disseminate/share technical information to customers in an understandable manner
Develop excellent working relationships with key partners
Desire to develop, build and grow the Systems Design team and the people within it as the project develop
Experience of system architecting tools e.g. DOORS/DOORS NG/Rhapsody
Knowledge of lasers or maritime system integration would be highly beneficial
