The Role

We're looking for a Senior Systems and Hardware Design Authority to join our Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) team. In this role, you will provide expert technical leadership across our Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems and Alternative Navigation Solutions, primarily for military applications.

Working across the full product lifecycle-from requirements capture and system design to testing, qualification, and in-service support-you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Lead Design Authority for our flagship Anti-Jam products, with the opportunity to step into a leadership role over time.
Provide technical direction and oversight for systems and hardware engineering activities.
Attend customer programme reviews (including biannual visits to Georgia, USA), and lead internal risk, obsolescence, and FRACAS reviews.
Oversee production support and obsolescence management, ensuring product performance and regulatory compliance.
Participate in technical design reviews, providing input on systems analysis and hardware design.
Support bidding and proposal efforts, contributing to the development of next-generation products.
Work in a hands-on laboratory environment, assisting with product testing and validation.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience:

Strong experience across the systems engineering lifecycle (from requirements to project completion).
Proven ability to generate technical documentation, including requirements capture and performance declarations.
Understanding of change and configuration management in a highly regulated industry.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.
STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent industry experience.
Confidence to provide technical sign-off on electronic solutions.Desirable Skills:

Knowledge of GNSS systems and receiver characteristics.
Experience with RF, Antenna, and Digital Hardware design and testing.
Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS, SysML, UML, and configuration management tools.
Modelling and algorithm development experience (MATLAB/Simulink)
