Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead the supply chain operations at our West Brom site. This key role will manage the entire supply chain process, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery while driving improvements in operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supply chain management within the industrial/manufacturing sector and will be dedicated to supporting sustainability goals through optimized processes and strategic procurement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the complete supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring operations are optimized for cost-efficiency and productivity.
  • Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies, fostering strong supplier relationships and negotiating favorable terms for materials and services.
  • Stock Management: Maintain stock levels to meet demand while minimizing excess inventory, ensuring product availability without overstocking.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions, cost fluctuations, or regulatory changes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (production, sales, logistics) to align supply chain activities with company goals, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Cost Optimization: Drive cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain, including transportation, procurement, and inventory management, without compromising quality.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Support the company’s sustainability efforts by identifying and implementing eco-friendly practices within the supply chain.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies, and provide regular supply chain performance reports to senior management.
    Qualifications
  • Education: A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar supply chain management role within the industrial or manufacturing sector. Experience in materials management is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, procurement, and logistics.
    • Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship-building abilities.
    • Analytical skills with the ability to develop strategies and implement improvements.
    • Proficiency with supply chain management software and tools.
    • Familiarity with sustainability practices and a passion for supporting green initiatives.
