Safran Seats GB is proud to announce the launch of its 2025 Apprenticeship recruitment campaign. This year we have a number of opportunities across Supply Chain/Logistics.

Safran Seats are an industry award winning, premium designer and manufacturer of First and Business Class seating and technology. Our passenger experience prides itself on innovation, customization, quality and industrial design.

At Safran Seats, we are unique within aerospace, as we interface with both the world's biggest airlines and air framers alike, with the largest seats portfolio of all seats suppliers. One day you could be dealing with one of the world's largest air framers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world!

In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales.

What is an Apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are Government funded, work-based training programmes for recruiting full-time people ages 16+ (there is no upper age limit) and providing them with the opportunity to combine ‘on the job' training with a nationally recognised. The apprenticeships programme, funded through the Welsh Government supports training costs. The employer works with an approved training provider for this apprenticeship at Safran Seats it is Trinity St David's (Swansea) University.

This application is for a Degree Apprenticeships designed by industry to bring together the very best in higher and vocational education. At the end of this course will have full Bachelor's in Supply Chain and Logistics.

What will I be doing as an Apprentice?
Depending on the level that you come into your apprenticeship, will determine your starting point.

During your working time onsite, you will work in various functions to learn multiple areas within Supply Chain which are aligned to the assessment criteria for you qualification. This will include areas such as Purchasing, Planning, Logistics and Production Control. The learning necessary and the complexity of the department will determine the length

What is Supply Chain?
Everything we touch, from consumer goods we eat to the beds we sleep in has taken a journey through a Supply Chain – it is the invisible web ensuring we have what we need when we need it.

We connect all the steps needed to turn raw materials into a finished customer product. It ensures that raw materials are sourced and made available on time for manufacturing through to delivery, ensuring that the goods are available where and when they are needed.

A smooth Supply Chain helps save time, reduce costs, improve sustainability and increase customer satisfaction which is essential for success in today's competitive climate.

Job Requirements – what do you need from me?
• You may not know much about Supply Chain or Logistics but you are naturally inquisitive about how things work and curious about how to make things better
• You are able to demonstrate a methodical and thorough approach to work (you are definitely a completer-finisher)
• Supply Chain is often about mitigating challenges, so you have excellent problem solving skills with the ability to look at problems from different viewpoints
• The role of apprentice will require you to be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills whether on the phone, in person or virtually
• You will be a motivated, hardworking individual with excellent planning and organisational skills, preferably highly skilled in Excel
• We work as a team, pulling together and you will also have the opportunity to work by yourself
• Data plays a key role in everything we do so analytical skills and financial analysis will be part of your daily routine

Successful candidates will ideally have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 3 A-Levels (or equivalent). Successful candidates will also need to hold GSCEs in Math and English - Grade A-C or 4-9.
