A global leader in aerospace logistics is seeking a seasoned Station Manager to lead and oversee its operational capability in Miami. Recognised for delivering best-in-class logistics services to the aviation sector, this is a career-defining opportunity for a commercially astute, people-focused leader to join a high-performing international team.


The Opportunity

Responsible for the operational capability and service delivery of the Miami station, covering import, export, and courier functions across both day and night teams. The Station Manager will drive efficiency, lead a committed team, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities to improve margin, service quality and team development.


📍 Location: Doral, Miami

🕒 Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

👤 Reporting to: Head of Operations – USA


Key Responsibilities


Customer Service Delivery

• Ensure service levels meet or exceed expectations in line with internal quality standards.

• Maintain oversight of key customer accounts and ensure seamless implementation of new wins.

• Negotiate with suppliers to support best-in-class service delivery.

• Serve as the senior point of contact for all operational matters.


Business Control

• Ensure robust and compliant Import/Export operations.

• Drive margin improvement through operational efficiencies and upselling value-added services.

• Monitor billing accuracy and profitability reporting.

• Promote understanding of SLAs and their impact on growth opportunities.


People Management

• Lead, coach and develop the Miami operations team.

• Define clear objectives linked to business strategy.

• Manage team performance, staffing levels, well-being, and succession planning.

• Drive employee engagement, cohesion, and learning & development initiatives.


Compliance

• Ensure all team activity meets aviation industry statutory requirements and customs regulations.

• Oversee customs and regulatory compliance processes and reporting.

• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9120B standards.

• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and governance.


Reporting & Commercial Insight

• Produce weekly and monthly KPI and TAT reports, with narrative analysis.

• Monitor industry and competitor trends to inform strategy.

• Report unscheduled third-party visits or regulatory matters.


Quotations

• Ensure timely handling and input of quotations to facilitate conversion by operations and CS teams.


Your Experience

• Strong operational knowledge of US freight forwarding and customs procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.

• Experienced user of CargoWise; DG Compliance is advantageous.

• Confident communicator with strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Skilled in problem-solving, organisation, planning, and commercial decision-making.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
