Spacecraft Production Operator

MERITUS are recruiting for a Spacecraft Production Operator to join our client on an initial 6 month contract to support exciting upcoming programmes. PLEASE NOTE This role is a shift based role, with the shift pattern copied below.

PRODUCTION OPERATOR - INSIDE IR35 - £25 PER HOUR - 6 MONTHS (+LIKELY EXTENSIONS) - PORTSMOUTH - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

SHIFT PATTERN:

Early shift (Apply online only) hrs) / Late shift (Apply online only) hrs) and Night shift (Apply online only)) when required
4-on, 4-off 12 hr continuous shift pattern (Apply online only) hrs and (Apply online only) hrs)The Spacecraft Production Operator is responsible for the Assembly, Integration and Test of Spacecraft Payloads and active antennas.

Responsibilities

Health and safety: Comply with production area Health and Safety requirements and practices, including handling of hazardous substances iaw COSHH requirements
Mechanical integration of Payload equipment's, Connectivity items (coaxial cables and waveguide), Test instrumentation (thermocouples, heater circuits and accelerometers), DC harness (connector mating and de-mating), MLI (templating, tailoring and fitting), Structural (inserts, riv-nuts, panel repairs) and wiring activities.
All achieved via Interpreting technical documentation (schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, 2D and 3D General Assembly Drawings, technical notes and integration procedures)
