Are you looking to play a key part in solving the challenges of end customers and partners using Trimble's satellite navigation products that are delivered using hosted services, Linux, iOS or Android mobile devices?


What You Will Do

Engineers on our London team troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify product bugs and work directly with developers, project managers, and testers to provide best in class navigation based tools to commercial clients across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia.


Solving the technical challenges that customers and partners encounter using Trimble Maps navigation software products both when integrated within their own wider solutions or when accessed through Trimbles hosted platforms.


This role requires excellent communication skills in English and German as you will be working directly with customers and partners in these languages on a daily basis. It’s a fast paced role, requiring flexibility in working with a number of different stakeholders while being exposed to a wide variety of technologies and environments.


Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and reporting software bugs and usability problems so they can be corrected and improved on in later releases. Being able to deliver appropriate support requires completing in-depth technical training in multiple products and datasets, together with interfacing with developers, project managers, and testers in multiple locations within the organisation.


What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • BSC in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript, C++, Python or other programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of hosted web services – XML/REST/SOAP - including some development.
  • Practical experience of supporting client hosted applications. .
  • Fluent in English and German, both spoken and in writing.
  • Flexible and versatile technical and soft skills.
  • Comfortable with adapting to rapidly changing technical environments.
  • A desire to become a subject matter expert in assisting customers with troubleshooting, set-up and use of Trimble Maps products.
  • Able to engage productively with technical peers and experts in a wide variety of technical disciplines across multiple geographies.

Bonus Skills

  • Working knowledge of Android, iOS and/or Linux operating systems
  • Full driver’s license


Working Locations

Role is based on a “hybrid” working pattern involving a blend between remote working and time in our central London office.
