Are you an experience Asset and Configuration Manager looking for a new exciting opportunity?

Sopra Steria's Aerospace, Defence and Security sector are currently recruiting for an experience Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join an established team and help facilitate the support of both Hardware and Software configuration. This is a unique opportunity to join an exciting area of the business and help agree and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for a new programme following industry standard process. You will have the chance to join a "Once in a generation rollout" at the build phase and be able to influence the project from the ground up. Due to the nature of the project we need candidates that hold an active SC clearance and who are happy to and eligible to go through Developer Vetting clearance.

This role is going to be based out of our newly refurbished head office in Hemel Hempstead with the occasional opportunity to work from home (Likely one day a week).

What you'll be doing:

Propose, agree and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for the Programme, based on industry standard methodologies and tools.
Be accountable for the daily management of hardware and software asset information.
Manage the asset database/inventory to make sure accuracy, consistency and integrity of information.
Gather and maintain essential information such as asset location, asset quantities, identifiers ( serial numbers) and audit status.
Administer the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the License Management database.
Audit/manage the Programme assets.

What you’ll bring:

Experience of operating service support function(s) within an enterprise environment.
IT Hardware and software auditing and management.
Knowledge of procurement processes.
Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and practices.
