Due to continued growth and new long term projects we have an immediate requirement for a highly experienced Senior Test Applications Development Engineer to join our busy and growing business in Northampsonshire
This is not an "IT" or "SOFTWARE ENGINEER" ROLE. This is Electronic
We are however open to establishing a satellite office in another location within the following area's: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire and Cambridgeshire where you would be tasked with carrying out your role as a Test Development Engineer and also recruit and grow your own team.
The role of Test Development Engineer will require you to take responsibility for the design, development of functional test application specifications of both hardware and software to ensure the highest quality test applications.
c£60k/£65k + c£7k Annual Bonus, Private Medical, Pension
General Description
Design and develop applications for the functional test of electronic and electrical products. Define the test approach and/or specifications and document the project scope for each project and generate test programmes using LabVIEW and TestStand
Technical Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification in electronic/electrical engineering ideally to degree level with in-depth relevant functional test experience
  • Currently employed in a test development role within an electronic manufacturing environment. Essential
  • Lean leadership, development and mentoring
  • Software design and using languages/tools LabVIEW and Test Stand, to produce functional test programmes for electronic products. 5 years + Essential
  • Experience of electronic hardware design, including use of schematic CAD
  • Previous experience of equipment interfaces (e.g. fixtures), test system architecture and basic electro-mechanical engineering would be an advantage

  • A practical and analytical thinker of complex tasks
    Currently holds security clearance, or agreeable and eligible to obtain required level of security clearance (UK Passport Holders ONLY)
    Able to travel within UK and overseas occasionally
