The Role:

As a Senior Technician, you will focus on enabling the manufacture and maintenance capability through testing equipment validation. Your goal is to get the product from manufacturing into a testing ready state. You will also carry out the practical test for pre-production which involves executing the test procedure, understanding the outcomes, and recording the results. You will lead product testing quality for this growing Aerospace company.

Responsibilities of the role:

Plan and execute product tests, including environmental, vibration, and EMC testing, and generate clear test reports.
Assemble and validate test equipment and prototypes, ensuring functionality and safety from manufacturing through to verification.
Maintain and calibrate test tools and lab equipment, ensuring readiness and compliance with standards.
Collaborate with engineering teams, providing technical feedback and supporting cross-functional project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement, applying structured problem-solving and maintaining high standards in the test environment.Skills required:

Background experience within a testing role within pre-production and verification
Product testing knowledge within electronics and/or electrical testing
Engineering background and manufacturing test equipment experience. Use of testing tools such as; environmental chambers, ovens, vibrating machines, etc.
Multi-skilled in electronics/electrical and mechanical background within testing is a strong bonus but not essential
A bonus to have would be experience in writing test procedures and understanding product test requirements
