Job Title:Senior Systems Integration Engineers

Salary:– £54,793 – £60,326 (Commensurate with skills and experience)

What you will be doing:

As aSystems Integration Engineeryou will use your sound engineering knowledge and experience to propose and develop solutions to problems throughout our product development cycle. You will play a key role in bringing components and systems together to form a System of Systems. You will manage aspects of engineering, delivering them to exacting standards through ensuring good engineering governance. You will understand and manage the maturity of our engineering solutions as they develop, and you take corrective action to ensure our products are the best they can be. You can specialise in areas such as System Architecting, System Design, Configuration Control, Requirements Management or Qualification. You will lead the integration of engineering across all aspects of Air platforms & products, covering all stages in the engineering lifecycle – from concept to delivery.

As aSenior Systems Engineeryou will take a leading role interfacing with our customers, understanding their requirements and keeping them involved during product development. You’ll be able to influence a diverse and highly skilled community of engineers, whilst also interfacing with non-engineering functions across the business. You will oversee integration of systems at all lifecycle stages as well as ensuring our engineering product meets expected standards. You will work with our engineering leads to propose, develop and deliver engineering products and solutions that meet our customer’s needs.

As aCapability Development Engineer, you will be involved in increasing and enhancing our engineering capability, through evaluating and implementing new tools and processes fit for the future. You’ll be inquisitive, exploring new and unique ways of working, thinking outside the box to deliver innovative solutions and embracing new tools and technologies. We have big plans to transform the way we engineer our products, with new and exciting tools entering the market, we need to continually keep ahead of the competition through improving our ways of working – you will be at the forefront of this as you play a key role in shaping the way our engineers work for decades to come.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
  • Evidence based experience in an engineering integration environment (Applicants encouraged from Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and Nuclear Industries)
  • Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets (Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS)
  • Evidence based experience of management responsibilities, managing teams and senior stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Accreditation to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE), or equivalent body / institute, is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for experienced Systems Integration Engineers, Technical Managers and Capability Development Engineers to complement our highly skilled and growing teams, working on cutting edge air defence projects. A role in Engineering Integration will provide a broad understanding of our Engineering activities and offer the opportunity to work across many of the business functions and engineering disciplines that are necessary to design and develop our Systems of System platforms.
