Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Senior Software Integration Engineer - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire - 10 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Duties:
We are looking for a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join our client's Door Systems - Body Closures department. Within this position you will be responsible for leading the technical development, delivery, and design of electrical and software engineering products for new luxury vehicle programmes. As a Senior Software Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for managing design verification test plans and ensuring that the Hardware & Software commodity plan is delivered according to schedule, budget, and quality standards. You will also be in charge of maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • gathering functional, diagnostic and cyber security requirements to define HW/SW technical specification and SWeSOW
  • delivery of the HW/SW commodity plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release System
  • managing SW delivery plan and SW maturity with suppliers
  • managing Change Request, SW/HW Releases, Expenditure forecasting and the relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of the programme milestones.
  • manage design verification test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issues.
  • ensure all appropriate client standards are met through-out design maturation and provide input into new feature development.

    Skills / Experience Required:
  • Technical understanding of automotive mechatronic systems,
  • Experience in defining Hardware and Software engineering requirements and specifications (HW / SW / Cyber Security / Diagnostic...).
  • Experience creating Hardware/Software test plans.
  • Working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, and change management procedures in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in managing suppliers.

    Additional information:
    This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.
