LOCATION- Central Reading (Office-Based)

TERM- Permanent

SALARY (OTE) - £50,000 to £65,000 per annum (OTE, including commission and benefits)


Premier Engineering is seeking an experiencedSenior Recruitment Consultantto join our engineering team in Reading. This role is focused on recruiting for mechanical engineering positions within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and other technical industries. You will be working in a fast-paced, office-based environment, developing client relationships and managing the full recruitment cycle.


The Senior Recruitment Consultant will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience in technical or engineering recruitment
  • Strong business development skills with a track record of winning and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent understanding of mechanical engineering roles, skills, and industry requirements
  • A proactive and results-driven mindset with a passion for recruitment
  • Ability to manage the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing to placement
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience using recruitment CRM systems and job boards
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment and meet KPI expectations


The Senior Recruitment Consultant role will involve:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of mechanical engineering clients
  • Developing new business through client outreach and relationship-building
  • Sourcing high-quality candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, networking, and database searches
  • Conducting interviews and managing the recruitment process from start to finish
  • Negotiating contracts, salaries, and terms with clients and candidates
  • Meeting and exceeding revenue and performance targets
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and market conditions
