Cheshire, Northwest | Salary: Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Process Engineer with strong process safety credentials, ready to step into a senior-level role on a strategically important UK manufacturing site?

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a high-performing team at a large-scale manufacturing facility handling high-hazard materials. This is a site of national significance, operating complex, continuous processes and governed by COMAH regulations. The role offers a unique mix of technical challenge, regulatory exposure, and continuous improvement in a high-integrity, safety-focused environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead the charge on process safety, driving improvement projects that reduce risk to people, the environment, and the business.
Be a key contact for UK regulators, including the HSE and EA - you'll help maintain the site's licence to operate and ensure compliance with environmental permitting.
Oversee process hazard analysis, including HAZOPs, LOPA, SIL assessments, and dispersion modelling.
Support emergency planning, human factors assessments, and alarm management strategies.
Work closely with senior stakeholders, joint venture partners, and industry forums to promote best practices in process safety and operations.What We're Looking For

A Chartered Chemical Engineer or equivalent with a strong background in high-hazard chemical processing.
IOSH or NEBOSH qualified, ideally with additional formal training in process safety methodologies.
Hands-on experience leading HAZOPs and developing Safety Reports under COMAH regulations.
Strong communicator who can coach, influence, and challenge at all levels.
A natural problem solver with an eye for detail and a commitment to operational excellence.Why Apply?
