Leading projects around electronics development for mechatronic systems

This engineering team comprise of mechanical, software and electronics experts who have come together to deliver their innovations. Currently they are applying their collective knowhow to solve challenges in personalised medicine by incorporating smart manufacture applications. They have made significant headway into delivering their technology platform but have further hurdles to overcome. As a Senior / Principal Electronics Engineer, you will take a lead technical role in developing and building electronic systems. Your electronics expertise would revolve around modular components comprising of sensors, PCBs, microcontrollers, actuators and motor controllers. You may work on digital and analogue designs that can be used within a mechatronics system.

Requirement

  • Degree in electronics, and significant industry experience in the electronics engineering sector.
  • Demonstrable project experience working on mechatronic systems ideally around robotic automation for smart manufacture.
  • Sector exposure to regulated industries (life science, medical, aerospace or automotive) would be highly desirable.
  • Experience as a technical lead on complex electronics projects.
  • Familiarity with embedded programming including ROS.

The role is based onsite (the robots are room-sized) and would involve working on a wide range of technology areas. The company will look to support careers and whilst they are a startup, they have a broad benefits package including life and health insurance. They are keen to recruit someone who shares their vision and enjoys working on difficult technology problems.

Due to the early stage of the company, they are not considering candidates who require company sponsorship or who have time-restricted work visas.
