About the Role:In this role, you'll be a technical lead within multi-functional project teams, working closely with designers, electronics experts, and software engineers to develop high-quality, market-ready products. As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll take projects through the entire life cycle, from concept to launch, ensuring that each stage meets their client's high standards for design and integration.

You will oversee and mentor junior engineers, maintaining technical excellence across the team, and will also manage the financial and commercial aspects of projects, including setting up project teams, managing budgets, timelines, and engaging with clients to provide updates and secure alignment.

What You Need:

  • AFirst-Class or Upper Second-Class Degree in Mechanical Engineeringfrom a university with a strong engineering reputation or an equivalent, broad-based technical qualification.
  • Product Design/Development Experience: A background in product design or development, applying CAE tools and computational techniques to deliver product solutions, utilizing diverse manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Project Delivery Record: Proven success in delivering outstanding results on complex projects, including overseeing both technical execution and client relationships.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with low-volume rapid prototyping technologies and high-volume processes such as injection moulding.
  • Inspirational Leadership: A "can-do" attitude that sets high standards, motivates team members, and inspires confidence in clients.
  • Eligibility to Work in the UK: This role is based at our clients studios in the Midlands UK. Candidates must be British citizens or hold permanent residency status in the UK, with full, unrestricted rights to work in the UK.
