Education and Experience Requirements
Other Part 66 licence preferred. preferred. Knowledge of aircraft type or components gained through part 147 formal training.Position Purpose:Reporting directly to the General Manager, is the nominated person under the Part-145 regulation. Responsible for the daily operation of all aircraft maintenance related functions. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the organization's regulatory approvals and any related internal and corporate documented procedures and policies.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  1. Ensuring satisfactory completion, cert and quality to regulatory requirements, organizational standards.
Comply with all org’s procedures and standards. Ensuring availability of a working environment, tools, equipment and materials appropriate to tasks being undertaken. Ensuring availability of competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify work being performed. Ensuring availability of all necessary maintenance data . Establishing a program of training considering a PTNA for individual employees and requirements of the dept and site. Responding to safety and quality deficiencies in area of activity for which they are responsible. Ensuring appropriate implementation of safety or human factors recommendations . Developing a production planning system appropriate to amount and complexity of maintenance scope of work. Recording and notification of any inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous procedure, practice information or maintenance instruction in maintenance data used by personnel to the author of data. Maintaining a safe work environment for employees; ensuring compliance with published EHS policies and procedures . Assists in development of Root causes resulting from recorded deficiencies.Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  1. Meets requirements of regulatory authorities to be accepted as a nominated person.
Knowledge and application of integrated management system requirements, including SMS and compliance monitoring. Relevant work experience, of which 2 years should be from aeronautical industry in an appropriate position. Specific knowledge of relevant maintenance methods.
