The senior Finance business partner for ADS&T Project Accounting is responsible for overseeing major frameworks/projects within the division and taking the lead on financial compliance and regulatory reporting requirements across the division. The role will focus on operational accounting activities for Single source frameworks and major frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing and reviewing bids from a financial perspective, reporting both internally and externally. The role will work closely with the client, delivery, and operational managers to ensure robust accounting procedures are in place. The role reports directly to the Senior Business Partner.

Your purpose:

  • Operational & Financial accounting with regards to Single source frameworks and Major projects.
  • Oversee/produce financial reporting required for the Single Source frameworks and major projects in line with government guidelines.
  • Liaise with CAAS covering the annual audit of the SSRO rates.
  • Work with the Client Managers advising on strategic bids and helping to make decisions around growth areas.
  • Manage the creation and integrity of bid models utilized across the division.
  • Develop the Project Accounting skills within ADS&T, through training and on-the-job knowledge transfer.
  • Undertake deep dive project review on an ad hoc basis to ensure compliance with group policies.
  • Responsibility for Research & Development tax credit reporting, PSA reporting, and Audit coordination.

What you can bring:

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with post-qualified experience and business partnering experience.
  • Knowledge of Single source regulations and reporting requirements will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of AtkinsRéalis’ finance processes, standards, and systems will be advantageous.
  • The role will require some travel.
  • Well-developed commercial knowledge and business understanding.
  • Strong technical accounting skills & knowledge.
  • Good Excel skills, strong people skills; comfortable in interacting with operational and financial staff and management at all levels of seniority.
  • Collaborative approach.
  • Attention to detail whilst still being able to work at a tactical level.
