Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineering Manager (Control & Instrumentation)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

Leading multidisciplinary teams of professional engineers tasked with delivering the Dreadnought C&I Systems

Driving continued professional development and progression of individuals within the team

Managing configuration and control of documents and requirements

Overseeing a schedule to deliver programme deliverables

Supporting Build and Test and Commissioning activities

Managing system design change

Acting as the focal point for system issues and project review assurance activities, and supporting the formal design review process

Interfacing with the client, external partners, suppliers and other project stakeholders, including project management, supply chain and safety, resolving any issues with the appropriate stakeholders where required

Your Skills and Experience:

Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent level

Chartered Engineer Status or demonstrable equivalence and a willing to apply for and achieve CEng status

Experience leading a team of engineers

Complex control systems design experience in an industry such as Marine, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Aerospace

Knowledge and experience of Safety Standards such as IEC 61508, IEC61511, DO 254, DO 178C

The PMS C&I Team:

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will have delivery responsibility across the Dreadnought Control and Instrumentation Systems including but not limited to Consoles, Platform Instrumentation, C&I Parts and Hardware Ancillaries. You will be helping to define and shape the design of the Royal Navy’s next generation attack class submarine whilst collaborating with colleagues, wider stakeholders, suppliers, and the Royal Navy. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
