Paying up to £87p/h (Inside IR35)

Responsibilities:

Undertake design and consultancy tasks to modernise and increase reliability of electrical components throughout the ground segment; including switchgear, transformers, cabling and circuit protection devices.
Provide guidance during the design phase of construction projects to ensure that proposed works can be undertaken in a safe and legislation compliant manner
Ensure all electrical works undertaken are specified in accordance with the requirements of BS7671 (18th Edition)
Advise technical teams on electrical design best practice, providing electrical engineering expertise into technical projects as required.
Get involved with the design and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects in critical national infrastructure facilities

Experience required:

Experience in an Electrical Design role within an industrial or commercial setting
Hold an Electrical engineering qualifications to degree level, or to a lower level with appropriate demonstratable experience
Hold Chartered status with a recognised professional body, or ability to obtain within 12 months of joining
Experience of M&E BIM modelling tools and techniques
Knowledge of RIBA project cycles
Have previous experience working on telecoms, data centre, satellite or command and control facility projects
Registered with an appropriate professional body (CIBSE, CIOB, IET)
An understanding of common measures to reduce EMI, including earthing techniques and filtering.
Experience of the design and test of lightning protection systems
Knowledge of UK construction health and safety legislation including CDM duty holder responsibilities.
